Werema Chacha plays the Litungu in Bagamoyo, Tanzania (1/3)

THP Field Recording (6 January 2016): This is a preview of Werema Chacha playing the litungu, an instrument that he makes himself. Mr. Chacha learned how to make the litungu, a kuria instrument, from his uncle. He now lives in Bagamoyo, and is a retired teacher of TaSUBa (Taasisi ya Sanaa na Utamaduni / Bagamoyo Arts and Culture Institute).
