Update #24: You’re Invited! Athens “Radio Tanzania” Kickstarter Celebration (+ Reward Pickup)!

On February 4, 2012, “Radio Tanzania: Reviving the Forgotten Archives” was successfully funded on Kickstarter.com thanks to more than 200 wonderful supporters.

I was in Tanzania working on the project when we hit the magic number, but now I’m in Athens and hope you’ll all join me this TUESDAY, APRIL 3, anytime between 7:30 – 9:30 pm, upstairs at the Globe to celebrate our Kickstarter success.

This is also an opportunity for our Athens Kickstarter Backers to pick up their rewards in person (mixtapes and t-shirts are ready now!), hear stories from the February trip, watch videos, and of course, listen to some awesome Tanzanian music from the archives.

For anyone who wasn’t a Kickstarter backer, now is your chance to be a part of the preservation of this historic archive of beautiful music. We’ll have our fabulous Radio Tanzania t-shirts on sale for just $15, and we have a limited number left!
